His Girl Friday (Britt and Perez) have become a regular act at Gilbert’s Open Mic, arriving with new songs (and a growing fan base) each week. Keeping the groove simple with voice and bass, they share a mix of covers and originals spun with their jazzified country with a side of soul sound.
Alums of the 2008 PC program at the Maine Media Workshops (photo and film, respectively) they began collaborating musically after graduating.
But finally, today, the media aspect shows its face! They say posting songs online will become a weekly thing, I hope so.
If you’re local to the 207 - they perform at Open Mic @ Gilbert’s Pub on Monday nights.
I expect to see some future local collaborations with Noah’s Ark (Gil’s Tuesdays - perhaps in his Arkistraw) and World Away Productions.
